By the time February has soaked into my bones it’s hard to hide the fact I’m in good need of a hooligan run through a field of sunflowers.
Whether I [or anyone else around me] like it or not, I’m hooked up to season and light. I thought that it may have been because I was born on the east coast of Australia where I’d never quite experienced the flavour of cold the northern hemisphere dishes out, nor the succinct delineation of season. And while I find February a low mood month, the upside is that from the moment the first swallows and swifts arrive in town and the hornets start tapping at the window my sense of wellbeing comes on as sudden as if I’d been given an intravenous drip of spring.
So I take flower photographs like vitamins.

Cheers and Ciao,
