A Silver Torc in the British Museum

Whose was the hand that rendered the torc,
who chased the silver and etched the elm?
It was pulled from the ground near the horse made of chalk
its truth lies now with the secretive hawk,
its legend lies still in the stance of the stork
who leafs through the myths of the minnow’s realm.
Whose was the hand that rendered the torc
Chased the silver and etched the elm?

The triolet is an 8-line tight, short and cinched-in rhyming poem. Similar to a pantoum it uses the repetition of lines.
