I’ve recently been commissioned to work on three sterling silver rings that interlock. The most challenging part of this enterprise – because each ring is a different size – was the possibility that they wouldn’t interlock flush.
But I can breathe again, because they do!
These images show the process at about the halfway point. They’ve been cut by hand, and what a good workout that was. Today I will hammer them flush on a mandrel, engrave them, add a patina, and polish them
